The final 16 teams! This world cup has been incredible, the best in the history of the world cup. The games have all had scoring and we have had at least 10 goals after the 90th minute by my count. There has been some heart break and some disappointment. There have also been moments that have brought us together as fans like Iran drawing Portugal. This world cup has been so great that I have been watching every single game and refuse to miss one. Streaming one on my laptop and watching one on my tv while they were doing the double games on FOX and FS1. We have had the 2014 champs, Germany, go home after just group stages after a loss to Mexico and an embarrassing 2-0 loss to South Korea. Portugal, Spain, Argentina, and France have struggled to impress so far. Belgium and Croatia have been the two most impressive teams so far. The round of 16 begins today at 10 AM/ET and will be starting off with a bang, Argentina vs. France. Below will be the matchups and who I see winning the first games which I will make a new post after all the first games of the round of 16 (All times are eastern time zone).

So for those who are new to the world cup and how it goes I will explain. There are 32 teams broken up into 8 groups of 4 as seen below.
Each win a team scores is 3 points, a draw is 1 point, and a loss is 0. Each team will play everyone in their group one time and then the top 2 teams from each group will move on to the final 16. The final 16 will be one game elimination style until we get a champion. If there is a tie in points in a group it will go to goal differential to determine who moves on to the final 16. The games start tomorrow at 11 AM/ET or 6 PM in Russia!!! Russia vs. Saudi Arabia
