Tonight is the start of the 2018 Fall Classic, (World Series) as the Los Angeles Dodgers (NL Champions) take on the Boston Red Sox (AL Champions). In Game one we get a pitching duel for the ages as Clayton Kershaw of the Dodgers takes on Chris Sale of the Red Sox, this is a battle of the two of the best Left-Handed starting pitchers in the game today. Kershaw came in on Saturday night in game seven, in the bottom of the ninth against the Milwaukee Brewers and got the save.
In Game two tomorrow night we have Hyun-Jin Ryu of the Dodgers versus David Price of the Red Sox. Price pitched the closing out game against the Houston Astros last Thursday in Houston as the Sox won the series 4-1. Walker Buehler will pitch game three in Dodger Stadium on Friday night and the game four starter for the Dodgers hasn't been officially confirmed by manager David Roberts but it will likely be Rich Hill unless the Dodgers are in a must win it they could go back to Clayton Kershaw. The Red Sox, haven't announced their starters for the games in Los Angeles yet.
This is gonna be a great series, I can't wait for this series to start I will be glued to my TV for every game hopefully. The Dodgers, are looking for redemption from last season after they lost in seven games to the Houston Astros. The Boston Red Sox, won the most games in baseball this season winning 108 games which is most in Red Sox history. Dodgers' manager Dave Roberts was part of the 2004 Boston Red Sox World Series Championship team. He was a key to that great comeback in 2004 against the New York Yankees as he stole second base in bottom of the ninth of game four of that series. Roberts would eventually come around to tie the game and the rest is history. Alex Cora, the Red Sox manager, made his major league debut with the Los Angeles Dodgers back in 1998 (7/7/98), he spent seven seasons with them before playing for five other teams including the Boston Red Sox for four seasons; he was part of the 2007 World Series championship team.
